Karpenisi - Megalo Chorio, Hiking trail

The route starts from Megalo Chorio of Karpenisi and crossing about 1 km the dirt road ends at the path.
Going up we meet the monument and then we walk through the forest we end up in the refuge. The whole route is through the pine trees and as we climb we compose fir trees and in very few places there is an uncovered field.
