Attiki: the "pirate path jiking trail" porto Rafti
The "hidden" pirates' hiking path, in the secluded corner of Porto Rafti, offers a special experience for hiking enthusiasts. The trail combines unique views of the endless blue sea, wild nature and the feeling of getting away from the bustling Attica basin. It is the ideal short getaway for those who live in the Mesogeia area, but also for those who are looking for a nearby weekend destination and want to enjoy the simplicity of nature.

The trail starts right next to the sea, crossing rocky terrain, and soon begins to climb, offering stunning views from early on. The terrain is reminiscent of the paths of Mount Hymettus, with the characteristic stone and dirt sections that, in some places, make the route a little slippery - especially on the descent, caution is required!
At every step, the view of the endless blue of Porto Rafti, the barren rocky islets and the picturesque landscape creates an impressive picture. As you approach the summit, the view becomes even more captivating, stretching the eye to the distant horizon. In the afternoon, as the sun passes behind the mountain, shade is created that covers the trail, offering a refreshing respite from the heat.
The route, although mostly a short climb, is ideal for moments of meditation, landscape photography and relaxation.
The low vegetation and the tranquility of the landscape create a sense of isolation from everyday life. It is, however, recommended to be avoided during the summer period due to high temperatures.

Cave Tsourgeli or Tsourgeli Cave. (It is an opening - a hole in the ground hidden by bushes, ...that leads somewhere.....)
Happy trails to all!
